A two-day journey of collaboration, reflection and forward-looking visions
On the crisp morning of 18 September 2025, at 09:45, partners began arriving for registration. There was a gentle buzz in the air: familiar faces greeted each other, new ones introduced themselves, project partner and stakeholder converged around coffee cups and timetables. One participant noted, “It feels like we’re putting the pieces of the puzzle on the table together.”
At 10:00 the first session opened, focused on Work Package 1 (WP1) and led by our French partner team together with the responsible partners. We explored the financial management and disbursement of the third tranche, the national agency’s requirements for year two, next steps for quality assurance, early findings on impact evaluation, and the dissemination strategy going forward. It felt less like ticking boxes and more like mapping the route ahead for our collaboration.
In addition, participants had the opportunity to explore the self-assessment tools developed within the GOOD JOB project, as well as the toolkit that compiles all documentation created across the different work packages.
From 10:30 to 11:00 we shifted to WP3, where the French team presented their final version of the work. Highlights included the multilingual training framework, the interactive modules developed in Genially, updates on the training platform, the blended-learning design for focus groups, and a set of mini-reports with final recommendations. One partner commented, “Seeing how the modules are already available in all project languages gives me real confidence in the usability for schools and enterprises.”
At 11:00 there was a welcome break: coffee, casual conversations and a small exhibition in the institute’s lobby offered a moment to stretch, reflect and connect. Then, from 11:30 to 12:30, we turned our attention to WP4. The atmosphere was focused, positive. The focus was on finalising the toolkit, conducting an internal review, and defining the operational steps coming next.Lunch followed from 12:30 to 14:30: a gastronomic experience at Astemi, where ideas flowed as freely as the regional dishes. Between bites and laughter we exchanged thoughts, compared notes, and allowed the day’s themes to settle in.The afternoon returned us to WP4: aligning on the piloting protocol, updating its status, and putting the final touches on the piloting reports. By the end of the session, a clear plan for the next phase was in place.
The day concluded at 19:45 with dinner at Ristorante Marechiaro. Under warm lighting and in relaxed surroundings, partners let down their professional guard for a while, deepened relationships and built the informal bridges that strengthen formal cooperation. There was also the occasion to meet another project: EU Green Gardens. This moment of joy was also a good moment for new cooperations, new alliances.
The second day, 19 September 2025, began with a session dedicated to WP5. Together we crafted the Sustainability Package — a crucial instrument for embedding our work into institutions of education and employment. Our discussion covered the communication portfolio (to raise awareness of sustainability in schools and workplaces), “Implementation A: Good Job at School” (resources and best practices for teaching and learning) and “Implementation B: Good Job in the Workplace” (how enterprises can adopt sustainable practices). We also reviewed the impact report and current status of the digital learning platform. Partners from Italy, Croatia and Spain were actively involved, sharing perspectives and goals. We focused on the dissemination campaign and multiplier events designed to share project outcomes and good practices. The discussion was rich with ideas, from logistics to messaging, from target groups to creative formats.
At 12:30 we devoted fifteen minutes to the topic “Linking Good Job to other projects.” We explored how our initiative can intersect with parallel endeavours, amplify impact and seed new collaborations. In fact, our new gathered friends from EU Green, were waiting for us in the daily care centre of the Institute for a small pic nic organized by the users of the center themselves. It was a moment of relaxing chats and food, while the users could interact with foreign people and learn about other cultures.
As the closing comment went, “Our best outcomes will come when we step out of our individual silos and think as a network.”Before saying goodbye, we outlined action points, scheduled future online meetings. In sum: two days of sustained focus, collective intelligence and genuine camaraderie. The team returned home with renewed energy, clear responsibilities and a sense of purpose. The Good Job! journey remains on track — now onward to the next milestones.
